The Epson i1600-A1 Printhead is a high-performance, cost-effective 1.33-inch-wide MEMs printhead designed for water-based ink applications, including DTF, textile, sublimation, and labeling. Built on Epson’s PrecisionCore MicroTFP technology, it delivers outstanding 600 dpi native resolution, ideal for high-speed, high-quality production environments.
The Epson i1600 printhead is a new type of printhead released by EPSON in 2023. It has a precise internal structure, accurate ink placement, and consistent ink droplet size. The Epson i1600 is divided into three series: the A1 series is suitable for water-based ink, the U1 series is suitable for UV ink, and the E1 series is suitable for eco-solvent ink.
It has the same specifications as the I3200 in terms of size, nozzle resolution, and drop ejection performance. The difference is that the i1600 printhead has 1,600 nozzles (half of the I3200 printhead), and the original 8 channels have become 4 channels. Using the i1600 printhead, you can basically achieve the high precision of the I3200 printhead and meet the high-quality requirements for finished products. Although its printing speed is relatively slow, it is more cost-effective! It can be said that the I1600 printhead is an economical alternative to the I3200 printhead.
The i3200 has 3200 nozzles, high resolution (600dpi/color), and can achieve up to 4 color outputs. The printing speed is greatly improved, and its high speed is its biggest advantage. If you have higher efficiency requirements for printing needs, it is recommended to choose the Epson i3200 printhead.
